Requena is one of the Valencian inland towns with the most history and monuments.
Enjoying a walk through the historic center of La Villa, visiting its museums, or tasting some wines are plans that will help you better understand the culture and history of our municipality.
La Villa neighborhood of Requena is an example of the typical urbanism of Hispano-Muslim cities, structured from the fortress and walls that protected it.
Among its narrow streets of whitewashed houses, we can find several monuments and museums:
Castle Tower
Underground caves
Cid Palace. Wine Museum
Florencio Lafuente Museum of Contemporary Art
Santa María
San Nicolás
Casa de Arte Mayor de la Seda
We recommend that you also visit the Tourist Info Requena office located at García Montes Street 1 in Requena

Parque Natural de las Hoces del Cabriel y Reserva de la Biosfera
The Cabriel river valley has been declared a Biosphere Reserve since 2019, a designation created and granted by UNESCO. This classification is reserved for territories on the planet with outstanding values in terms of their natural, social, and economic environment.
The Hoces del Cabriel Natural Park is part of this reserve, and comprises 31,446 hectares spread among the municipal terms of the region. The Cabriel river, considered one of the most pristine in Europe, is the natural border with Castilla-La Mancha.
This territory is just 3 km from Los Pedrones.

Artisan wineries
We propose a selection of artisan wineries in the region. They make high-quality wines away from industrial processes. These wineries are not so well known, but their proposals are very interesting and, without a doubt, deserve to be known.
Included in this selection are the Dussart Pedrón winery and the Sentencia wineries, in Los Pedrones.
The location of Los Pedrones, very close to the municipality of Cofrentes, allows us to discover places of interest without having to make long trips. Here is a selection:
River route
Cofrentes has the first tourist river route in the Valencian Region. It is a spectacular and relaxing cruise along the stretch of the Júcar River between Cofrentes and Cortes de Pallás. A boat with a capacity for fifty passengers allows you to travel the 14 km of the Cortes reservoir in just over an hour.
Cofrentes Castle
The spectacular castle of Cofrentes, which flies almost a hundred meters above the Cabriel River, is located on a basalt rock of volcanic origin, a chimney of the Cerro de Agras volcano. To visit it, you must contact the Tourist Info office in Cofrentes.
Don Juan's Cave
The Don Juan cave is located in the municipality of Jalance, 12 km from the town centre, accessible via an asphalt track.
The cave is located on the right bank of a ravine tributary of the Júcar River. In addition to being able to contemplate stalactites and stalagmites, visitors will enjoy panoramic views in an environment surrounded by nature.
